The root word “Rede” in Italian means “net”. This 16th century Venetian technique was introduced to the modern American glassblowers in the 1980’s, yet there are very few glassmakers that have dedicated themselves to continuing this precise and intolerant process. The result is refined, delicate, traditional, and unmistakable. Small air bubbles trapped in each diamond, perfectly placed, is the keystone. A rarity is finding it in large, decorative chandeliers.
